Nya Småland
This publication documents the first four years of New Småland – a project investigating questions of entrepreneurship and local production, emigration and immigration and the relationship between the urban and the rural. Contributions by amongst others: Center for Land Use Interpretation, Runo Lagomarsino, Åsa Jungnelius and Éric van Hove. The publication references the visual language of a postcard as this is where we find the established (and sometimes stereotypical) images of a place. Throughout the book we are offered an alternative image of Småland with greetings from some 20 small towns. With a nod to Småland’s main feat – its vast forests – the covers of the two editions are foil blocked on local paper mill Lessebo brown and green. Editor: Jonatan Habib Engqvist, publishers: Arvinius+Orfeus and Linneaus University Press, 2020.
